Xi'an Jiaotong University's Institute of Medicine and Engineering is mainly engaged in research on brain-computer interaction, brain function development assessment and embodied intelligent robot technology. It has established the Xi'an Key Laboratory of Brain-computer Interaction and Neuromodulation Digital Medicine, the Shaanxi Provincial Digital Medical Devices and Instruments International Joint Research Center, and has become the core support team of Xi'an Jiaotong University's national innovation platform for the integration of industry and education in medical research. In terms of brain-computer interaction, the company has innovated steady-state visual motion brain-computer interface, audio-visual noise enhancement mechanism, and biological motion vision-induced collaborative rehabilitation technology. The brain-controlled rehabilitation robot developed has achieved industrial transformation and obtained a medical device registration certificate for sale; the infant visual function brain detection system won the International Red Dot Design Award. In terms of brain function development assessment, the early somatosensory screening system for infant cerebral palsy developed has been clinically verified with nearly 10,000 cases. In terms of embodied intelligent robots, practical "control-feedback" technology integrating nerve-muscle-electromechanics has been formed to solve the problem of human-machine mismatch.

Based on brain-computer interface, deep learning and graph network technology, a humanoid robot platform with intelligent identity recognition and following, sound and body-sensory interaction and brain-controlled intervention functions has been built. Through computer vision and hearing, visual language large model and other technologies, the robot can achieve functions such as autonomous identity recognition, natural interaction with language and gestures, environmental scene mapping and navigation, autonomous guidance and explanation navigation. At the same time, combined with brain control technology, autonomous asynchronous interaction of steady-state visual evoked potentials based on AR can be achieved. It can be combined with robots to achieve multiple applications such as companionship for the elderly and disabled people, intelligent guidance and explanations, safety patrols, and item transportation.
